Title: Energy-efficient Routing

Abstract: Nowadays, Green Communications is required to reduce the CO2 emission and save the planet. So, this talk is about the energy efficiency in multihop wireless networks, with emphasis on energy-efficient routing in user-centric wireless environments. I will start with an overview on notions and energy parameters of WiFi heterogeneous mobile devices, as well as some energy-awareness strategies in wireless networks. Then I will discuss about energy-aware on routing layer (OSI layer 3), specifically regarding energy-aware metrics to be applied in multihop routing protocols.
