At the Plenary section III, Kees Brants, from the University of Amsterdam, spoke about his research entitled “Beyond Media Logic”, based on the Netherlands elections.
Daniel and Einar, from Bournenmouth University, talked about "citizen journalism for empowerment: moving in from the margins?". They talked about the citizen as a journalist and about a website platform that gives the voice to the citizens as journalists, which was created in 2013.
This session on 'Radio Research' about Technologies started with the presentation from Sílvio Santos, from CIMJ, UC in portugal, about online radio for empowerment of young audiences. His project, Radioactive Europe (http://radioactive101.eu/) has as main objective to promote the social and technological inclusion.
Leslie Haddon, from London School of Economics, presented a paper about the type of strategies that parents use to control information and media consumption and the effectiveness of these interventions on children.
